Availability:

These fully faceted beads are cut in a Marquise shape from some of the biggest pieces of Iolite that we we've seen for a long time. The color is also the excellent blue-violet to blue-grey that is so sought after in this gemstone. While much of this stock is fairly clear, the size of the pieces make it easy to see that Iolite often has internal 'lines' in the crystal structure. It is possible that the drilled hole that goes across the tip of the bead may not be exactly level - please account for this possibility in your design. Sold by carat, sizes are given for reference; size ranges overlap because some drops are thinner/thicker than others.

We were lucky to find such nice large Labradorite beads. The blue 'flash' is good to excellent in these oval beads - and some even flash a purple color in some lighting conditions. Due to the very large size, some beads will have 'lines' within the gemstone material where the crystal formation is not continuous (shown in picture). Each bead measures about 20x15mm. Most are thin enough (5.5-6mm) to fit nicely within the Pewter Pendant Wrap finding that we sell. Drilled on the long dimension of the bead, faceted on both sides of the bead. Sold individually.

Citrine beads are cut into a fully faceted briolette or "pear" shape. Clarity is very good and color tones vary from light to stronger tones, typical of natural Citrine. You may see 'lines' within the gemstone material where the crystal formation is not continuous (shown in picture). Sizing in this group is very uniform so all are being sold in the same size category. Each bead will be between 7-8mm in both height and width. Holes are small, but will accommodate 0.3mm stringing material.

Handmade smooth oval beads are formed from very white/clear gemstone with a nice level of blue "flash". The beads are flat ovals, meaning that from the side, they have a rectangular appearance, as you can see from the picture. Beads can range from 6-9mm long (most tend to be about 7mm) and are 5-6.5mm wide. Strands are about 14 inches in length.

If you are looking for the unusual as a centerpiece for your design, this Large Druse Coin shaped bead might be just the thing! Druse (sometimes also spelled 'drusy', pronounced like "drew-zee") is basically the surface crystals that grown inside of a geode. The front surface of each of these pendants is studded with tiny, sparkly crystals. Druse can form in many gemstones, this one happens to be a white to clear quartz. We've also provided a detail picture, so that you can better see the crystal detail. Sides and backs are smoothly polished. Beads are 20mm in diameter and vary between 4-10mm thick.

Lapis Lazuli just doesn't get much better than this! Deep blue gemstone with sparkling pyrite flecks and just a hint of well mix calcite to keep the blue tones from being too dark were used to form these drops. Each drop is expertly faceted on all surfaces. Drops measure about 20x13mm. Thickness varies from 3.5mm to 8mm. Pendants may appear slightly notched near drilled hole openings.

Availability:

Here are some pearls that are very petite, especially for the top-drilled style of keishi pearl. Most of them have lengths of 5.5 to 8mm. You'll also find some occasional long, skinny, double or odd shaped pearls up to 11mm. The color is a bright green with yellow, blue and pink highlights.

Availability:

An affordable Keishi style pearl is the type that are "side drilled" across the small flat side of the keishi (instead of across a narrow end). These range from about 6.5-8mm on the longer undrilled dimension and are about 6.5mm wide. These have excellent luster, beautiful opalescence and a creamy white base color.
