Earring post with a flat pad is used for gluing on to items with flat backs (shown, left side of picture). This post finding has a 6mm (0.24 inches) pad (shown, right side of picture), 0.029 inch post (0.74mm). Post length is 7/16 inches (about 11mm). The padded post is double riveted for an extra strong connection (much stronger than a solder connected post). Stainless steel is hypo-allergenic and can be worn by most people who have allergies to the metals used in base metal and/or plated findings. In addition, steel is much stronger than Sterling Silver, so these ear posts are a good choice for heavier attachments that cause Sterling posts to break.
