Each of these Rhodochrosite Heart beads is a work of nature's art! Beautiful pink color is decorated with creamy white banding (and almost none of the grey or black inclusions that are typically seen in this gemstone). Each bead is nicely fabricated and polished. Beads are drilled as shown in the picture (please note that the bottom hole opening does not go through the tip of the heart but is to the side). Overall size is about 18x15mm. Sold individually.

Wide, almost triangular teardrop beads are drilled as shown by the pin in the picture. Beads measure about 16x16mm. All beads have creamy white and/or grey in the banding, as shown. Sold by the piece.

Rhodochrosite used for beads is formed in caves and primarily comes from Argentina. The gemstone is then sent to China to be fabricated into beads. Our current stock of 4.5mm Rhodochrosite has lots of pink tones and not quite as much white banding as usual. You'll also see some flecks of black or grey inclusions in this stock. A few beads may be drilled slightly off center, as shown in the picture.

Due to the high price of this gemstone, we sell 4.5mm Rhodochrosite by the bead. 44 beads will string a length of approximately 8 inches.

This is the same gemstone as our regularly stocked Rhodochrosite - but in a creamy light pink color that we call "Powder Puff Pink". You won't see much of the distinct banding that is found in more expensive Rhodochrosite - just well mixed color tones. You'll also occasionally see tiny black inclusions, as shown in the picture. Because these beads are so affordable, they are sold by strand (rather than by bead). Strands are 15.5" in length.

Availability:

Rhodochrosite Gemstone Chip Beads - these chips are hand selected for good pink color and well defined white banding. Beads are about 5-10mm wide and 2-5mm thick. Enough chips to string between 15-17"; some chips may be loose (off of the strand).

This is an unusual cut - in an unusual gemstone. Marquis cut beads are about 15x7mm and are drilled across one point, front and back faces are slightly domed. While these beads are rather smooth, you will occasionally find a very tiny pocket in the stone, due to the way that the natural gemstone is formed. These beads have been discounted for condition and/or color - please see the picture for typical colors. Also note that beads may not be drilled straight across the top (as shown) or may be slightly rough at one of the tips. Original price was $1.60
