It is unusual when we get a chance to carry Chrysocolla beads as nice as these! Chrysocolla is a soft gemstone and it tends to have small voids or pockets throughout, so beads of this size are hard to come by. Your beads will have a small amount of surface pitting and a bit of matrix, as shown. Colors are vivid with matrix tends to be brown or black, but you will also occasionally see hints of blue or white. Oval beads measure about 20x15mm and are about 6mm thick. The ovals are smoothly rounded on the edges - sometimes called a cabochon style, even though both sides of the bead is rounded.

There is not enough raw material to satisfy demand, however, so natural Chrysocolla is expensive - and is often soft and crumbly. The material for these beads comes from reassembled stone, keeping the price more reasonable. The beads are well made, glossy and more stable than the natural stone.
