Sardonyx is an elegantly colored agate that is primarily black with lines and swirls of white and a hint of brown or clear agate. These focal beads are shaped in a teardrop with a spiral cut face on each side of the drop. We've tried to show some of the range of possible patterns & colors in the picture - be aware that there is a lot of variation between drops. Drops are 17-18mm high and 12mm wide. Sold individually.

Stunning works of nature's art - these donuts are made by cutting thin slices through geodes. The range of color and pattern are only hinted at by the picture! The center donut shows an example of a simple way to use these donuts as a pendant - a hand wrapped Sterling Silver wire bail and Greek leather cord. Slices range from about 3.5-5.5mm thick and are polished on the front and back.

The rest of each piece is completely natural: outer edges are somewhat rough and the interior edge is covered with the tiny crystals found within the geode. Colors vary from black to white with bands of tan, yellow, orange and red visible. We cannot match any sets - each piece is unique! Size ranges overlap in the table below because some donuts may be tall/skinny or short/round.

If you are looking for the unusual as a centerpiece for your design, these Druse Oval beads might be just the thing! Druse (sometimes also spelled 'drusy', pronounced like "drew-zee") is basically the surface crystals that grow inside of a geode. The front surface of each of these beads is studded with tiny sparkling crystals. Druse can form in many gemstones, this one happens to be an agate with the color tone of Chinese Carnelian: orange, white, brown and occasional golden yellow tones. The bead in the lower right of the large picture shows one bead on edge so you can see the typical agate formation. Many of the focal beads have drusy on just a portion of the front surface (see the bead on the silver pin) and the remainder is nicely polished. Beads vary in length from about 12mm to 20mm; widths vary from about 7mm to 13mm. Sold individually.
