The beautiful red orange color of this Carnelian Agate varies from very richly colored in the center of these strands, then gradually lightens in tone towards the ends. Bead lengths vary in length from 8-9mm and widths are uniform at about 6.5mm. Nicely faceted on each side of the oval shape. Strung on 14.5" strands.

It is hard to see in the picture, but many beads have light to dark shading giving the strands a bit of a multi-tone look. If you are looking for the unusual as a centerpiece for your design, these Druse Oval beads might be just the thing! Druse (sometimes also spelled 'drusy', pronounced like "drew-zee") is basically the surface crystals that grow inside of a geode. The front surface of each of these beads is studded with tiny sparkling crystals. Druse can form in many gemstones, this one happens to be an agate with the color tone of Chinese Carnelian: orange, white, brown and occasional golden yellow tones. The bead in the lower right of the large picture shows one bead on edge so you can see the typical agate formation. Many of the focal beads have drusy on just a portion of the front surface (see the bead on the silver pin) and the remainder is nicely polished. Beads vary in length from about 12mm to 20mm; widths vary from about 7mm to 13mm. Sold individually.

This Carnelian Agate from India has a bright orange color tone and good clarity. You will see a few spots of darker color, as the picture shows, but most of the the beads are fairly clear. These beads are very nice for hand crafted stock - you'll only see a few that are slightly off round or drilled off center. Actual diameters range from about 3.5mm to 4mm, but are very uniform in size on individual strands. Sold on 13.5 to 14 inch strands.
