Looking for some variety in your bead stash? Trying to find an economical way to buy some nice beads? Both are good reasons to try a few gemstone bead grab bags! Each individual package contains all the same bead or gemstone type (not a random selection of beads) as you can see from the eight sample bags we picked for the picture. Current stock also includes some nice shell beads.
Due to the wide variety of these beads, we cannot match packages or send packages with specific beads shown in the picture or in packages you might have received in a previous order. Sorry - we do not identify the gemstone contained in the individual grab bags. Some items are dyed or heat treated but everything is made from gemstone or genuine shell (no glass, no plastic, etc.)
These bead grab bag packages contain a very wide range of possibilities. You might get a bag that only has one nice size focal bead or a few beads of a more expensive gemstone variety. Other packages have enough bead to string 14 inches but they will be chips or beads similar to those on our economy gemstone sale pages. Most beads will be smooth shapes or rounds but occasionally you may receive a bag of faceted or carved gemstone. A great deal of the gemstone for our grab bags comes from samples that never make it onto our web store. Others are simply the exact same products that we sell, but the strand was short or the beads were not quite the same appearance as the bulk of the stock.
While most of the gemstone grab bags contain untreated and undyed stones (such as jaspers, agates, quartz, etc.) you may occasionally get gemstone that has been dyed or enhanced (good examples are Turquoise Howlite or Garnet). We will not send man-made gemstone substitutes such as Goldstone or Cubic Zirconia. There also is no Hematite (natural or man-made). Beads are similar in quality to those sold throughout the website. Almost all beads in grab bags are loose (un-strung). Beads may come from China or India.
These packages contain a wide range of possibilities. Each individual package contains all the same bead or bead mix (not a random selection of beads). Beads come from Europe, China or India. Just in: new stock with even more variety!
