Semi-Precious Gemstone Donut Beads - Side Drilled
We carry side drilled donuts on this page. All have the normal big hole in the middle (which makes it a donut!), but they also have a small hole that goes all the way through the flat of the donut. This allows lots of wonderful construction techniques! The donuts can be strung horizontally on a necklace or bracelet. Beads can be strung in the center donut hole for a cool effect. Try this with two donuts and make a quick pair of earrings.

Faceted Oval shaped Donut beads are made from richly colored golden Tigereye. Because they are side drilled (along the long flat dimension) you have all kinds of possibilities for innovative jewelry. The donut hole is off-center, so some people also call these "A Go Go" donuts. A few of the donuts have a slightly flattened profile at the bottom, making them look a bit teardrop shaped. Hole openings measure about 6mm allowing you to insert a bead of your choice in the opening (we used a 5mm Silver plated filigree bead in the center of the picture). Sold individually.
