Sterling Donut Bails - Interchangable Pendant Necklace
|
It is simple to make a beaded necklace that uses a
Sterling Silver Donut Holder as a way of displaying one of
your favorite gemstone donuts. If you select your materials carefully, the pendant can be interchangeable.
This example uses small Chinese Turquoise Tube Beads and
India Silver Tiny Daisy spacers. As long as the beads used are smaller than the interior measurement of the
bail (about 3.5mm on the 40mm holders), you can slip the bail off the necklace and change to a different donut.
Be sure that one end of the necklace uses a clasp that will fit through the bail as well. We used a
Silver Finish Pewter Rope Toggle (not shown in the picture, because the bar end of the
toggle fits through the bail loops). Another choice would be any clasp that will connect to a
Sterling Silver Tag finding, as the tag will fit through the bail loops. Another
bonus: the necklace can also be worn without the pendant or holder when you need something simple. |
