Availability:

This is NOT stellar quality Tourmaline, but the price is right and the faceted drops are some of the biggest that we ever see available in this gemstone. Colors are darker and more murky and the beads are less transparent than most Tourmaline we carry. Colors include pinks & greens, but also feature yellows, olive greens, and peachy tones. Beads are nicely shaped and faceted, but you will occasionally see inconsistencies in the crystal structure that can affect the surface smoothness. It is also possible to find a chipped spot or notched drill holes in this group. Teardrop vary in size from 12x9mm to 17x12mm, are top drilled, and you get 11 teardrops on a strand.

These faceted Amethyst Teadrop shapes are the latest thing out of the high-end gem factories in India and we've been told that they are going to be the "big thing" at the Tucson Bead shows next February. We got a sample of them early, though, and you'll want to get them too! Drops are expertly shaped and fully faceted on all the exterior surfaces. The only hole is the big teardrop shaped one in the center, so these actually are considered a donut bead. Drops range in size from 11x7.5mm to 15x10mm. These faceted Black Spinel Teadrop shapes are the latest thing out of the high-end gem factories in India and we've been told that they are going to be the "big thing" at the Tucson Bead shows next February. We got a sample of them early, though, and you'll want to get them too! Drops are formed from glossy Black Spinel gemstone and are expertly shaped and fully faceted on all the exterior surfaces. The only hole is the big teardrop shaped one in the center, so these actually are considered a donut bead. We do not recommend wire wrapping the top of these drops as the material thickness is very thin (please use open jump rings or bails with large open loops for attaching to a design). Drops range in size from 12x9mm to 14x10mm. Be sure to tell us in "Comments" when you check out if we should match a set for earrings or whether you need slightly graduated sizes for a necklace. Availability:

This is real Ruby! It's not widely known, though, that the opaque form of Ruby is far more affordable than the transparent type (the kind usually used in calibrated sizes for rings). Beautiful Ruby Faceted Teardrops will make an unusual centerpiece for a dainty necklace or as drops for earrings! Holes in beads of this kind can be very small - when we received them, they were strung on wire measuring 0.3mm in diameter. Openings of the drilled holes may be slightly enlarged or "notched" looking. These great looking faceted teardrop beads are made from natural clear quartz that has been permanently coated with a Mystic Blue finish. Beads are uniformly colored and clarity is excellent and current stock is slightly deeper blue than the picture picks up. It is possible that the drilled hole that goes across the tip of the bead may not be exactly level (see center of picture) - please account for this possibility in your design. The hole size is fairly small (they were strung on 0.2mm material when we received them). Pretty in pink, these faceted teardrop beads are made from clear & natural quartz that has been permanently coated with a Mystic Pink finish. Great color, cut & clarity define these Peridot Faceted Teardrop focal beads. Sizing in this group is very similar so all are being sold in the same size category. Sizes range from about 8x5.5mm to 9x6mm. All beads are teardrop shaped, drilled through the top tip and are fully faceted. Holes are small, but will accommodate 0.3mm stringing material. This group of faceted teardrop beads have been formed from nice big pieces of Apatite - a gemstone where the stock is typically very small. Much of this stock is fairly clear (for Apatite), but you will see some internal 'lines' in the crystal structure. It is possible that the drilled hole that goes across the tip of the bead may not be exactly level - please account for this possibility in your design. The hole size is fairly small (they were strung on 0.2mm material when we received them). Drops are between 5.5 to 7.5mm in height and are about 5mm wide. Sold individually.

New stock! This Iolite is a lovely shade of "Montana" Blue - with good transparency and uniform color. As is typical of Iolite gemstone, you may see 'lines' where the crystal formation changes within the gemstone. These are fully faceted, flat drops - most are teardrop shaped, but a few are wider (more of a pear shape). Note that some of the drops may not have the hole drilled level across the top - please allow for this possibility in your design. These small pieces of Iolite are very nicely cut and faceted, despite their size. The gemstone material is also very clear and has very nice color. As you would expect, holes are fairly small, too, but will fit on 0.28mm stringing material and most will fit on 26ga wire.
