This is real Ruby! It's not widely known, though, that the opaque form of Ruby is far more affordable than the transparent type (the kind usually used in calibrated sizes for rings). Beautiful Ruby Faceted Teardrops will make an unusual centerpiece for a dainty necklace or as drops for earrings! Better "in person" than can be shown by this picture. This batch has not been dyed - but has been heat-treated to enhance the natural color. Holes in beads of this kind can be very small - when we received them, they were strung on wire measuring 0.27mm in diameter. All the beads in this selection will be tear shaped: taller than they are wide. Medium purple in color, and reasonably transparent - these make a nice purple "statement" in you designs. One of the outstanding qualities of these Large Rainbow Moonstone teardrops is their wonderful blue "flash". The picture does not do these justice - "flash" ranges from very good to stunning! The other quality you'll note is the rather large size, as compared to the dime coin in the picture. These drops are much larger in size than we typically see offered. The base color is milky white to almost transparent; a few teardrops may have the tiny black inclusions that you typically see in this gemstone. These are hand cut and faceted drops, so expect the typical irregularities, including drill holes that are not quite level across the stone and very slightly asymmetrical shapes. Cubic Zirconia is a man-made product that is used to simulate a number of transparent gemstones (such as diamond, emerald, etc). The beads are noticeably heavier than other beads of the same size. The drilled hole size is suitable for use with beading chain.

These Cubic Zirconia pendants have been made in a deep Purple shade that almost has an irridescent quality to it. The shape is a flat, faceted teardrop. Teardrops are 9mm high, 6mm wide, 4mm thick, and top drilled as shown.
