Garnet beads are cut into a facet elongated bicone shape - sometimes also called a Diamond shaped bead. The garnet is uniformly colored and has fairly good clarity. Note from the bead in the lower right of the picture that you may occasionally see a bead that is cut with a different faceting pattern. Beads range in size from about 7 x 3.5mm to 10 x 4.5mm. Strung on strands that are about 14 inches long.
