This opaque form of real Sapphire is affordable enough that it can be cut into beads. In this case we have Deep Blue Sapphire Faceted Teardrop shaped briolettes that can be used as drops on an elegant necklace or drops for earrings. This Sapphire is not dyed to acheive the beautiful blue color, but it may have been heat treated. Holes may appear notched at the drilled opening or may be drilled slightly skewed front to back. Holes in beads of this kind can be very small - when we received them, they were strung on wire measuring 0.3mm (28ga wire) in diameter. Sold individually and priced by the carat, sizes are given for reference; size ranges overlap because some drops are thinner/thicker than others.
