Butterfly wing beads are easy to turn into cute beaded butterflies - try a pair for earrings! Overall size of the bead is about 15x13mm. Beads are cast from Brass then receive a durable Antique Silver Plated finish. Beads are sold individually.
To make a beaded butterfly similar to the one in our example, you'll need 6 inches of 26 gauge wire, folded in half. This project is strung from the bottom, so slip a 3mm bicone crystal bead on the wire, then put both ends of the wire through a 4mm bicone crystal, the wing bead, then a 4mm round crystal. Now use each end of the wire to make an antenna, with another 3mm bicone bead at the tip. Anchor the ends of your wire just above the round crystal and use the excess wire to wrap a small attachment loop at the top center. Snip off any excess wire.
The same pattern appears on both sides of the 21x7mm bead; vertical hole through the middle (3.5mm tall at that point), as shown. Pewter with gold finish.
