Memory wire is a sturdy, coiled steel wire that has become extremely popular. It can be used to make everything from necklaces and bracelets to wine charms.

It's called Memory wire because it's so springy that it retains its round shape when you hold one end of it and let the rest of it fall. It's easy to bead - but it's so hard that you should cut it with wire cutters (from the hardware store) or a special Memory wire shear. Don't use your regular beading nippers or cutters on it or you will dull them beyond use.
