It's easy to get into a design rut from time to time. One quick and inexpensive way to get your creative juices flowing again is by playing around with different earring findings. If you always use French ear wires, give leverbacks a try. Or go for an even bolder look and make some hoop or chandelier earrings. If you've always used silver findings, try gold or copper for a change. You just might be surprised by how inspiring it can be to experiment with different earring shapes and color tones.
Or you can really stir it up - literally, using a spoon! For a simple necklace or bracelet idea, try selecting a variety of monochromatic beads of different shapes, sizes, and textures (our Fancy Color Mixes are a good start, if you don't already have some on hand). Use a spoon and stir them all up. Keep adding beads to the mix until it looks complete and really grabs your attention. Randomly string the bead mix with metal spacers and you'll have a gorgeous design in no time at all. Keep the spoon handy to separate out any extra beads that need to go back into storage. Make sure to also try an assortment of bright, contrasting (analogous), or patterned beads for a funkier look. Throw in some black beads to tie it all together. Have fun and see what you come up with!
