Crimps- Don't double back

In the past, beaded jewelry designers have been advised to finish necklaces and bracelets by running the stringing material back through a couple of beads after the crimp and then snipping off the excess.

The only problem with this is that in order to get a double thickness of the stringing material through, you might end up using a smaller diameter of the material than you ought to. As long as you properly crimp the ends, you should have fewer problems with breakage when you use a larger diameter of the stringing material than you would by doubling back past the crimp bead.
