Instructions:
- Cut two 5"
pieces of 20ga sterling
silver wire.
- Make a
loop on the ends of both pieces of wire, should look similar to image 1.
- Fold near
the halfway point, making sure there's a little extra (image
2) to wire-wrap under the loop (image 3).
- Take your
ring mandrel and slide up the center.
- Make a
note of what ring size you stretch the center to, and do the same on
the other side.
- Using your
flat-nose pliers, hold the link you made by the loop over the bench
block.
- Hammer it
flat.
- Flip it
over, hammer some more.
- Repeat
steps 3-8.
- Using
~1.5" of 26ga Sterling
Silver Wire, attach a gemstone
briolette to the bottom of the hoop.
- Use a
sterling silver jump ring
to attach your hoop to an earwire.
- Repeat
steps 10-11.
*Samples shown in Rose
Quartz & Garnet.
If you don't want to make the hoops yourself, check out our SS
Chandeliers for a similar look and less work!
**If you're unsure how to wire-wrap, "Beginning
Wire Wrapping" is a great place to start!
***Please note that all designs used for tutorials are intended to
inspire. We may run out of any/all products used in a given project.
Most of our designs contain products that are easily substituted. We
do not intend for anyone to copy these designs exactly.
****This design looks great with most briolette types. Also, play with
the shape! you don't have to make this eye-shape, try round, square,
abstract, whatever you like!
