Fun and simple Prehnite necklace.
Prehnite Necklace Idea
Prehnite gemstone beads look great when paired with Black Onyx and
Copper Finish Chain. Other parts needed for this necklace are:
~ 8" Beadalon Stranded wire
2 Copper End Caps for Beadalon
2 Solid Copper Crimp Covers, 3mm
1 Copper Hook & Eye
4 Small Round Open Jump Rings
1 Thin Copper Headpins, 2"
Crimping Pliers
Round Nose Pliers
Wire Cutters
This necklace is fairly simple to create. Just string the desired amount of Prehnite Rondelles and 2mm Onyx round beads on
Beadalon, crimp copper end caps on the ends, trim them down, and cover the straight part [of the end caps] with a crimp cover. Since the
Prehnite Teardrops are top drilled, you can place it on a head pin (so the head is at the bottom of the teardrop), and wrap the remainder
of the pin around the middle of the necklace as the pendant.
Use a jump ring on each of the ends to attach ~4" of copper finish chain to each side. If you are uncertain how long you would like your
necklace, also place 3" of extender chain at the clasp. Use jump ring to attach the hook, and either the extender, or the figure 8 (as seen in the
detail picture). The bright new copper does stand out a little against the antiqued copper, but it will tarnish. If you do not like to wait,
you can wipe the findings with white vinegar to tarnish them more quickly.
