Labradorite Pendant Necklace

One of Judy's creations, this necklace illustrates some gemstones that pair well together.

Labradorite Pendant Necklace Idea
labradorite pendant necklace Labradorite gemstone beads look great when paired with Rainbow Moonstone and Black Onyx. Other parts needed for this necklace are:

1 Focal Pendant - this one is a Larvikite Teardrop, which is often called Black Labradorite
About 18" Beadalon Stranded wire
2 Sterling Silver crimps
1 Sterling Silver Hook & Eye
2 Sterling Silver Wire Guards
About 2" of 24ga Sterling Silver Wire (for the pendant)
Sterling Silver Chain Extender
Crimping Pliers
Round Nose Pliers
Wire Cutters

The only 'advanced' skill needed for this piece is the wire wrapping required for the pendant. There is a handmade sterling silver bead to embellish the wrap on this pendant, if you like this effect, make sure you purchase sterling silver beads with a wide hole. In order to make the rest of the necklace, lay out the gemstones and spacer beads you have selected before stringing them. labradorite pendant necklace claspMake sure you have enough beads to span the desired length of your necklace.

String your beads with pendant in the center. Thread the end through crimp bead and wire guard, doubling it back through the crimp before crimping (see picture for detail at right). If you would like to save yourself time and money on jump rings, make sure you have your hook and eye and your chain extender in place before you crimp as well.
