Necklace

Instructions:
- Place pendant in largest track of the Bead Design
Board, and lay 13 sets of 3 beads out at 0.5" increments
on the second
track. I picked 3 beads within each color as I removed the tourmaline
from it's original strand.
- Wire wrap Pendant* using approximately 1' of 26ga Sterling Silver wire.
- Close the pendant loop with 2 ends of the
chain
it.
- Measure the chain and snip off everything over 9" on
each
side (totaling 18"
in length). Set this necklace aside.
- Using ~1.5" of SS
26ga Wire for each segment of tourmaline beads,
wrap each piece to about 0.5"
of chain.
- When you get to each end of the toumalines, attach
the excess chain, and make sure each side is about 8.5" long
(for a total of 17").
Snip off excess.
- Place one end of each chain through a jump ring and attach
to either your chain tag
or your extender chain.
- Place the other ends of your chain through the other jump ring and attach
clasp.
- You're finished!
*If
you are unsure of how to wire-wrap, "Bead on a Wire:
Making Handcrafted Wire and Beaded Jewelry" by
Sharilyn Miller covers all the techniques used in this design. |
