The green color of the peridot strand reminded me of the vibrant green grass of Spring. Coupled with the unique double leaf clasp and the briolette dangling from it, my inspiration is from my thoughts of warmer weather and the dew drops that show up in the early morning hours. Steps:
- Cut beading wire to desired necklace size
plus 2 inches.
- Attach beading wire to small leaf of
toggle clasp and crimp.
- Cover crimp tube with crimp cover.
- Begin stringing with peridot gemstone
strand until strung all the way to the front of the necklace. Crimp off
to the larger leaf of the toggle clasp and cover crimp.
- Wire wrap the briolette to the under loop
of the large leaf by creating a fancy bead cap as in the book.
Tips:
- Create
a conversation starting pendant by clasping your necklace in the front,
especially when you have a unique clasp such as this double leaf that
deserves to be seen.
- Add more
fun to this necklace by adding on glass flower bead dangles to the
small leaf loop to create more whimsy.
