This is Fancy Topaz Mix. It comes in lots of amber, tan and cream colors along with the topaz as shown in picture. There also are beads with fancy Lampwork techniques such as surface trail and adventurine. The beads are fairly large, measuring from 12mm to 26mm in a variety of shapes. They come 100 grams per bag (typically about 20 to 25 beads).

These faceted Black Spinel Teadrop shapes are the latest thing out of the high-end gem factories in India and we've been told that they are going to be the "big thing" at the Tucson Bead shows next February. We got a sample of them early, though, and you'll want to get them too! Drops are formed from glossy Black Spinel gemstone and are expertly shaped and fully faceted on all the exterior surfaces. The only hole is the big teardrop shaped one in the center, so these actually are considered a donut bead. We do not recommend wire wrapping the top of these drops as the material thickness is very thin (please use open jump rings or bails with large open loops for attaching to a design). Drops range in size from 12x9mm to 14x10mm. Be sure to tell us in "Comments" when you check out if we should match a set for earrings or whether you need slightly graduated sizes for a necklace. It is always difficult to find really nice faceted drops in natural Sunstone. While this is not top-grade material, we thought they offered a good value for the price. Fully faceted teardrop shaped pendant beads have the distinctive internal orange colored sparkle that you love in this gemstone. Since Sunstone is very prone to fracturing when cut and shaped, you'll see slight instances of this in the drops and drill holes may be slightly enlarged or "notched". Drilled holes may also not be level across the top of the drop, so please account for this possibility in your design. These focal beads vary in size from about 9x7mm to 13x8.5mm. Sold individually.

Nice larger pieces of Tourmalinated Quartz will have people asking "what's that gemstone?" Fully faceted teardrop shaped pendant beads have the distinctive black needle markings of this gemstone - note that markings vary from fairly light to fairly dark. Most drops tend to be translucent (not transparent). These focal beads vary in size from about 10x7.5mm to 13x9mm. Sold individually.
