Expand your pearl stringing options with large hole Rice pearls. These pearls have 2mm holes - so you can string them on ribbon, rattail cord, leather cord and other cording materials. Rice shaped pearls in this group are smooth & rounded, but you will see some pearls that have slight banding or luster variations around the widest part of the pearl. Pearl shapes can include egg shapes & barrel shapes. They range about 9.1mm to 9.8mm on the undrilled dimension. Hole openings can also be a little rough due to the disturbance caused by such a large hole as you can see from the pearl resting on it's end in the picture. Sold by the pearl.
Tip: When stringing these pearls on ribbon, cut a long tapered angle at the end of the ribbon. If the ribbon is still too soft to poke through the hole, try coating the end with a bit of white fabric glue & let it dry first.
