Make a bracelet like this one using the cord above. It's a
great way to clear out odds & ends in your bead box, plus the
only tool you need is a pair of scissors! The large Silver Heart bead
at the end of the bracelet (that functions as part of the clasp) is no
longer available, but we do have similar hearts on the Vermeil Style Beads
page and we often have large copper
hearts, as well. There are also beads from the Handmade Sterling
Silver Bead page, the Large
Seed Bead page (use 6/0 or larger seed beads), and many of
our Glass Bead Mixes
pages. The faceted beads come from the Czech Fire Polish Bead
page (faceted tubes) and from the Czech
"Sophisticated Lady" Mix page. We also used a 10mm Gemstone Round Bead
(most 10mm will work on this cord, most smaller gemstone beads will
not). You'll also recognize some 8mm Czech Round beads from the Czech Rounds (Druks)
page. Knotting techniques used for this project can be found at
Using Cord in Jewelry Making Projects - Tips & Techniques.
Triangular beads that are about 8x6mm for the skirt (these
happen to be clear crystal). Similar beads are periodically available
on our Sale & Closeout
Bead Specials section.
Two different tones of blue stones look great together - this
necklace pairs smooth formed Lapis Lazuli beads with handmade Iolite
beads. This piece is 16" long - so it may be used as a short single
strand necklace or a double strand bracelet.
